Terms of Use
Effective 4 July 2026 · v1 (beta — under legal review)
These terms cover your use of Boomph, a chore game for children that is set up and controlled by a parent or guardian. By creating an account you agree to them.
1. Who can hold an account
Accounts are for adults (18+) — a parent or guardian — who set Boomph up for a child in their care and supervise its use. Children use the app under that grown-up’s account and supervision.
2. Beta software
Boomph is in beta. It’s offered as-is, may change or have hiccups, and isn’t guaranteed to be available or error-free. We’re improving it constantly.
3. Using it well
Use Boomph for its purpose — a friendly nudge to get chores done. Don’t misuse it, try to break it, or upload anything unlawful or harmful. Boomph is a helper, not a substitute for parenting.
4. Photos
Photos should be of the task — the mess and the tidy-up — not of people. The app automatically blocks photos containing a person before they’re stored. You are responsible for what’s uploaded from your account.
5. AI verification is best-effort
Boomph uses AI to check task photos. It’s good, but not perfect — it can get a call wrong either way. A parent can always override the result. Treat verdicts as a helpful check, not a final judgement.
6. Your data
How we handle your family’s data is set out in our Privacy Policy. You can delete everything at any time from Settings.
7. Liability
To the extent the law allows, Boomph is provided without warranties and we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from beta use. Nothing here limits rights that can’t be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, with disputes subject to the courts of Scotland.
9. Changes & contact
We may update these terms and will post the new date here. Questions: hey@rough.ink.
