How to tidy a garage without touching the dangerous bits

Adult check first. Keep heat, sharp objects, chemicals, broken items, heavy lifting and anything uncertain with a grown-up. Choose jobs that fit the child, the room and today.
The small-job list
Group the sports kit
Put balls in one basket, bats and rackets in one corner, and helmets on one shelf.
Pair outdoor shoes
Match boots and trainers, then place them on a mat or low rack.
Stack empty cardboard boxes
Flatten or nest only empty, clean boxes. Ask before opening or moving any sealed box.
Collect safe recycling
Gather clean paper and plastic into the correct bin. Leave metal, glass and unknown containers for an adult.
Return hand-safe items
Put soft brushes, cloths and clearly safe equipment in their labelled places. Do not handle tools.
Clear one floor path
Move only light, approved objects away from the door and main route. Stop at anything heavy or unstable.
